8-9 October the 3rd Open Baltic Wushu championship took place in Riga, Latvia. It is the official, certified by the European Wushu (kungfu) Federation event.
At the opening ceremony of the championship participants were welcomed by Gleb Muzrukov, the Vice-President of the International Wushu Federation, and Maris Liepins, the representative of the Latvian Council of Sports Federations.
The athletes from nine countries participated in the taolu competitions.
Latvia was represented by four Latvian clubs: Latvian Sports Wushu Federation, the sports club "Kung-fu Pansin", the sports club "ORIO", wushu school "Wulin".
At the end of the championship team representatives have noted the high level of organization of the tournament in Riga.
